Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm (30 minutes Lunch)
Are you eager to kickstart a career in electrical manufacturing? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Wireperson to join our growing production team in Chew Magna, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop specialist skills in a supportive and professional environment. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Trainee Wireperson, you will work alongside experienced professionals and be trained to:
- Assemble electrical control panels and components.
- Wire control panels using engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Prepare, strip, crimp, and terminate cables.
- Fit electrical components and sub-assemblies.
- Conduct basic electrical testing and quality inspections.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools and assembly equipment.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and housekeeping.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- A genuine interest in electrical or electronic assembly.
- Strong practical skills and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, or a technical subject (advantageous but not essential).
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or workshop environments is beneficial but not required.
Your typical day will involve:
- Learning and applying wiring techniques under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Assembling and testing electrical components to ensure quality and functionality.
- Collaborating with colleagues to meet production deadlines.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
