Stride Resource Management

Be part of something compelling, as Development Director for this ambitious young business - leading from the front with clients and working as part of the management team to shape the journey.

This is a new business – brand new in fact, but the characters involved are anything but new to the market, and the infrastructure is in place to create a significant business.

The role is national with regular time in the South West/Bristol office, commutable from Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and South Wales.

The proposition

  • A newly created insurance broking firm – based in the South West and with plans to grow a national coverage.
  • Strategic acquisitions have created a foothold – there is a book of clients to launch from but that is just the start; the introducer arrangements in place here will outstrip those at many established brokers.
  • The business is looking to grow, and the leadership have a track record of building profitable firms – the difference this time is that the driver is creating a legacy rather than scaling to sell.

What’s in it for you?

  • Aside from a strong base salary (probably around the £80,000 - £100,000 mark, but negotiable) you’ll enjoy a bonus linked directly to your delivery.
  • There is also the prospect of equity/long term incentive plans for the right person.
  • You’ll have a voice, right at the start of the firm’s journey.

The job

  • Strategic business development working on the blue-sky stuff, as well as leading on new business pitches to large prospects.
  • Managing the pipeline and developing opportunities – leading the growth.
  • Lead and mentor a growing team of Account Executives and Development Executives.

You

  • An Account Executive or Account Director looking for an opportunity to really prove yourself, helping to shape a new business rather than towing the company line.
  • You’ll see the perceived risk involved with a new start up, but be more interested in the rewards and opportunity offered to your career… risk vs reward, right?
  • Able to sit in front of large prospects and gain their trust and attention to create buy in and win the deal.
