Here at GXO, we are recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team in Avonmouth, supporting our customer, Amazon. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading your own team, helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.
This is a full time, permanent position, working a 3 on 3 off shift pattern, 06:00-18:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Manage and lead the shift, striving to maximise productivity, quality, and efficiency across the Warehouse
- Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
- Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement to ensure efficient and accurate process
- Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
- Management of the warehouse training requirements and function
- Proactively handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support in line with company policies
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience of managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment at a similar level
- The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent
planning skills - Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
- Positive, people-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
