About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Export Agent to join a dynamic international logistics team. This role is key to ensuring the timely and accurate movement of export freight while delivering outstanding customer service within the Ocean Export department.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive environment where professionalism, innovation, and customer focus are at the core of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the smooth and timely flow of ocean export shipments
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operational systems
- Coordinate export bookings and arrange international shipments for customers
- Prepare and distribute export documentation in line with customs and regulatory requirements
- Track shipments and proactively communicate updates to customers
- Handle client and vendor billing accurately and promptly
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers (e.g. shipping lines, hauliers)
- Communicate effectively with overseas offices and respond to queries promptly
- Ensure compliance with all internal procedures and external regulations
- Monitor KPIs and maintain high service standards
- Escalate issues to management where required
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and processes
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proactive and solution-focused mindset
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Understanding of ocean export processes (advantageous)
- Hazardous Materials certification (desirable but not essential)
