The Applied Data Scientist role focuses on delivering practical data science and analytics across a large operational environment. You will own projects end to end, from problem definition through to deployment and stakeholder communication. You’ll sit close to the business, working on commercially important problems and translating insight into action. The role is flexible and remote working, with required travel to the Bristol office once a month and occasional (but less common) London meetings (which would be paid for). What experience you’ll need to apply
- A Computer Science, Data Science or similar degree (2:1 or above)
- Ideally a minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in a data science or ML role
- Strong Python experience in production settings
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Experience working with SQL and structured datasets
- Exposure to ML and LLM driven solutions
- A clear, business focused communication style
- Ability to translate data science projects into commercial outcomes and apply to a business context
