Lloyds Banking Group are seeking a Business Platform Lead for our Commercial Lending Platform.
The Commercial Lending platform is focussed on modernising and simplifying our technology estate providing clients with a range of lending and working capital solutions (loans, overdrafts, asset finance, invoice finance and cards) in a modern, digital-first way. We want to build user experiences that feel effortless for our 1m clients across BCB (Business Banking/SME/Mid Corporates) and CIB business units.
We're looking for a values-led and innovative product leader: someone who can work collaboratively alongside the Technical Platform Lead to shape and deliver the Business Transformation. You'll be accountable for leading the strategic direction and change capability, demonstrating thought leadership across the entire lifecycle in support of our strategy.
Define and drive delivery of the strategy of our lending workflow alongside our credit and product teams. This will grow the role and Platform in size and complexity, managing a key dependency on Risk partners in the delivery of models and automation.
Drive the simplification of legacy technology, to improve customer experience and create new business revenue opportunities.
Build a vision of a new future that brings significant change and improvements to how we serve our clients. Provide a roadmap for Platform activities that demonstrate (measurable) value that is iteratively delivered. You will champion quality technical delivery using the portfolio of investment. Hold the team to account to ensure the Platform vision and initiatives align to our Group strategy.
Influencing and supporting the strategic change agenda in partnership with Group COO and Product to ensure that investment delivers planned strategic outcomes and maximises benefits realisation. Ensure that safety and resilience of product and systems is a priority through the backlogs and in the work.
Provide exceptional leadership to the team, coaching and developing through change with a focus on empowerment and increasing productivity and pace of change. Ensure that the capabilities in the team are what we need for the future.
Role model Group Values and expectations with and through the team, working to develop a strong leadership team and holding them to account for clear individual objectives. Empower teams to focus on the right problems and deliver impactful outcomes. Promote the use of the Group's agile methodologies, guide partners on effective collaboration, and ensure strategic tools like Jira are used for governance and reporting.
- Commerciality and ability to balance complex demands and succinctly present options and recommendations for best value.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment in which we operate in order to identify, be responsible for and mitigate commercial risks.
- Proficient in agile methodologies, metrics, and mentoring for consistent leadership across the platform.
- Outstanding leadership skills with a passion for team development; allowing colleagues to develop in different/ new technologies and mature in ways of working, resulting in a successful team.
- People development experience to ensure our people have the right skills today and for the future, bringing innovation, pace to delivery and driving diverse teams.
- Experienced collaborator across Product, Risk, Digital, and Coverage teams. Skilled at aligning diverse needs to streamline customer journeys and deliver key objectives.
- Understanding of Credit workflows that are digital first, AI led and microservice in nature. Ideally experience of in-house builds using best in class technology to augment.
- Proven leader with strong planning skills, adept at managing complex portfolios and balancing urgency with precision to deliver successful outcomes.
- Strong Technology grasp, able to work with Engineers in partnership and able to balance run and change and risk management of the systems environment.
- Financial acumen to deliver to cost and investment budgets, seeks opportunities to reduce cost and balance resource to maximise the value of change delivery .
