  • Key skills include expertise in CFD software, meshing, data analysis, and a strong understanding of aerodynamics and flight dynamics.

Your Profile

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Working with 3D CAD models (e.g., 3DX, CATIA, SolidWorks) to prepare geometries for CFD simulations.
  • Preparing CFD meshes (e.g., Fluent Meshing, ICEM CFD, ANSA or CADfix).
  • Using CFD software (like Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, STAR-CCM+) to simulate airflow, generate meshes, and analyse aerodynamic performance.
  • Post-processing the CFD solutions (e.g., python scripts, Tecplot, Paraview).
  • Creating aerodynamic models and databases based on CFD and experimental data (wind tunnel, flight tests).
  • Contributing to the optimization of aircraft designs by analysing aerodynamic behaviour and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Analysing CFD results, extracting insights, and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Working with other engineers within the team to integrate CFD results and contribute to the overall completion of the project
  • Write technical reports.
  • Maintain direct working relationships with clients and represent your work during client meetings.

Skills And Qualifications

  • A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a specialization in aerodynamics.
  • Proficiency in CFD software, meshing techniques, and turbulence modelling.
  • Strong understanding of aerodynamic principles, flight mechanics, and aircraft performance.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret, and present CFD results effectively.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately to follow client needs.
  • Communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Team player, able to work effectively and to short timescales with others in a busy environment.
