THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Safety Engineer to support the delivery of safety-critical defence systems. The role involves conducting safety assessments, developing safety documentation, and supporting compliance with regulatory and customer safety standards across the system lifecycle.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Safety Engineer to support the delivery of safety-critical defence systems. The role involves conducting safety assessments, developing safety documentation, and supporting compliance with regulatory and customer safety standards across the system lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hazard identification and analysis (e.g. FMEA, FTA, SWIFT, HAZOP).
- Develop and maintain safety cases, including evidence and argumentation using Goal Structuring Notation (GSN).
- Define and manage safety requirements and ensure traceability to design and verification.
- Support system-level safety assessments for hardware and software integration.
- Contribute to safety planning, compliance activities, and reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in safety engineering within defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated sectors
- Proficient in safety analysis techniques and standards (e.g. DEF STAN 00-056, IEC 61508, MIL-STD-882).
- Familiar with safety case development and use of GSN.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and integration challenges .
