Job Summary
An exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturing team as an Industrial Automation Support Engineer. You will play a key role in supporting and enhancing shopfloor automation systems, ensuring seamless integration and performance of critical manufacturing IT applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the support team to understand and resolve issues within defined timeframes.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Deliver permanent solutions to recurring and application performance issues.
- Maintain high-quality and accurate solution and application support documentation.
- Share knowledge and information with team members and across the company.
- Coordinate communications between suppliers, OEMs, and business stakeholders.
- Track and report progress to stakeholders.
- Experience with MES/MOM technology.
- Knowledge of Aveva/Wonderware Intouch, PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
- Advantageous to have experience with machine integration.
- Strong understanding of COTS Manufacturing IT applications.
- Experience integrating the factory automation layer with MES.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Knowledge of machine integration through OPC and various interfacing protocols.
- Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, sensors, IIOT devices, and Aveva Wonderware Intouch.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes is a plus.
- Experience with ServiceNow and understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, SLM, and Knowledge Management processes.
