Configuration Engineer

We're looking for a Configuration Engineer to support dynamic, fast-paced engineering projects by managing robust configuration control processes and product lifecycle management.

The Role

As a Configuration Controller, you will be at the heart of our engineering teams, ensuring our hardware and software meet defined build standards, that change is controlled, and configuration status is always up-to-date. Your work will directly influence quality, compliance, and successful delivery across complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate data for Configuration Items and provide configuration status reports.
  • Enforce and monitor adherence to Configuration Management (CM) processes.
  • Capture hardware/software build standards and ensure correct baselining.
  • Support internal and external audits with clear documentation and evidence.
  • Manage engineering change control, from request preparation to implementation tracking.
  • Facilitate Change Control Boards (CCBs) and record critical decisions.
  • Administer and enhance Siemens Teamcenter PLM system for optimal performance.
  • Develop CM Plans for bids/projects to ensure compliance and customer confidence.
  • Provide training on CM principles and tools to ensure stakeholder competence.
  • Deliver regular reports to support project leadership and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

  • Prior experience in a configuration control or change management role in a multi-disciplinary engineering setting.
  • Strong understanding of document, hardware, and software control processes.
  • Working knowledge of PLM tools - Siemens Teamcenter experience desirable or other PLM tools (e.g., Windchill, Enovia)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering quality under pressure.
