Role profile
Osborne Clarke are seeking an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst to join our growing IT department in our Bristol office.
This newly created position will play a crucial role in supporting identity and access changes within our security environment, ensuring alignment with business initiatives and contributing to the transformation of our target operating model.
This is a permanent position offering hybrid working.
The role
The IAM Analyst will be a key member of the IT Security team, promoting collaboration, team working, and innovation. This role will involve executing the design and development of the new IAM framework, implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies and procedures, and managing user access to systems and data based on defined roles and policies.
Other Key Responsibilities Include
IAM Framework Development: Execute the design and development of the new IAM framework under the guidance of the IAM SME.
RBAC Implementation: Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies and procedures as defined by the team.
Tool Evaluation: Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of IAM tools, including EntraID and other potential solutions.
User Access Management: Manage and control user access to systems and data based on defined roles and policies.
Policy Drafting: Draft IAM policies, standards, and procedures for review and approval by the IAM SME.
User Provisioning: Execute the process of user provisioning and de-provisioning, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Compliance: Ensure IAM processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Security Monitoring: Monitor IAM systems for security breaches and respond to incidents.
Training and Awareness: Assist in providing training and awareness sessions on IAM policies and procedures to the team and end-users.
Collaboration: Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate IAM solutions with existing infrastructure.
Reporting: Prepare reports and metrics to track the effectiveness of IAM processes and identify areas for improvement.
Process Improvement: Suggest opportunities for improving IAM processes and implement best practices as directed by the IAM SME.

We are looking for
- A basic understanding of IAM principles, including user provisioning, RBAC, and access certification.
- Familiarity with IAM frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001/27002, NIST, GDPR).
- Experience with IAM tools and technologies, including cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of modern cryptography, PKI, and IAM best practices.
- Understanding of IAM incident management and response strategies.
- Experience with IAM automation and orchestration tools is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of cloud IAM architecture and securing hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing IAM issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex IAM concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across different functions.
- Customer-focused with a proven ability to build relationships and trust with stakeholders.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in IAM.
