Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced BMS Commissioning Lead to join our team in Cardiff, with a focus on delivering high-quality commissioning services for building management systems. This role is dedicated to the end-to-end commissioning of BMS systems, ensuring optimal system performance, compliance, and client satisfaction. You will also provide technical leadership and oversight to the commissioning engineering team throughout the project lifecycle.

What Will You Do

• Perform end-to-end commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) on-site, ensuring systems are fully functional and meet project specifications.
• Conduct system testing, fault diagnosis, and performance optimisation.
• Prepare and manage commissioning documentation, including test reports and handover packs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery and handover.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to the commissioning engineering team throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Required

What we look for:

• HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in BMS commissioning.
• Strong understanding of BMS systems and communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and TCP/IP.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and commissioning documentation.
• Experienced in fault finding in electrical starter /controls circuits and the setting into operation of starters and associated rotating plant.
• Valid ECS or CSCS cards.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience with one or more of the following BMS platforms: JCI Metasys, EasyIO, Niagara Framework.
• HVAC knowledge/experience.
• Familiarity with BMS software configuration, graphics, and logic setup.
• Certifications in third-party BMS platforms.
• Experience using tools such as AutoCAD, BIM Modelling, or commissioning management software.
• Previous experience in client-facing roles or supporting project handovers.
