Role Overview

The team

The Finance Systems team plays a crucial role in managing the technology that supports the delivery of financial best practices, while enabling both financial and operational efficiency across RPC. The team is responsible for ensuring that financial data—whether originating in core or integrated systems—is accurately captured, processed, and available.

In addition to this, the team provides support to users, ensuring system issues and queries are resolved efficiently. This includes management of application patching and system upgrades to stay current with new features, technologies, and security improvements.

The role

To provide technical support of all practice management systems, acting as the key conduit for Finance and IT coordination around infrastructure and system support and development including improving and maintaining all practice management systems

  • Supporting in the management, maintenance and technical ownership of all practice management systems, their SQL environment and their related customisations and integrations to help ensure they are meeting business needs
  • Responsibility for troubleshooting and managing escalated 2nd & 3rd line support calls
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and work with teams to analyse, develop, test and implement changes.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation relating to systems, processes and procedures
  • Provide and share knowledge with other team members and stakeholders such as finance and for those using the system

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Knowledge and proven experience of the Aderant Stack comprising;
  • Expert Classic (inc Generic Importer/Scheduler, Alerts, Docudraft, Reports)

  • Bottomline Paybase (Cheque authorisation/printing management software)
  • Minisoft ARCS
  • SQL
  • Iridium Pre Bill-Viewer & Iridium Dashboard Tools
  • Proficiency in the following technologies:
  • Microsoft SQL Server and related products (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)
  • Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Understanding of database structures, reporting tools, principles, and practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of finance processes and accounting rules
  • Keen attention to detail and numeracy skills
  • Self-motivated with an ability to identify and develop solutions to enhance and maintain IT/ Finance services.
  • Experience of working within incident, service request and problem management processes.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deal with difficult or demanding situations and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Develops internal and external client relationships and adopts a client-centric approach to deliver innovative solutions
  • Works commercially to achieve the objectives of the team/firm.
