Technical Coordinator (Electrical and I&C) - #1747273
EDF (UK)
Date: 11 hours ago
City: Bristol
Contract type: Full time
Work schedule: Full day

About The Role
Bristol, hybrid working
Join us at the forefront of nuclear innovation as we shape the future of low-carbon energy in the UK. We’re looking for a skilled Technical Coordinator to help deliver one of the most ambitious energy projects in Europe.
The Opportunity
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, responsible for the design and realisation of nuclear islands for new projects. At Hinkley Point C (HPC), we are building two new nuclear reactors to provide low-carbon electricity to around six million homes. This role also supports early design and replication activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
As a Technical Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the maturity and integration of electrical and I&C systems throughout the commissioning process. You’ll work closely with technical teams and project leaders to ensure readiness and compliance across all stages.
Pay, Benefits & Culture
The salary associated with this role is from £54,000 (grade B) dependent on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme, and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle.
We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.
At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. Whether you're in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.
Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.
We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.
We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you.
Because success is personal.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead the Intermediate 'Project Configuration Milestones (IPCM)' sequence from design maturity reviews to the integration of design modifications before, during, and after commissioning. This includes coordinating across disciplines, ensuring documentation consistency, and supporting commissioning engineering.
You’ll manage open points, propose priorities, and align schedules with project and technical leads. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring systems are ready for commissioning on time and in optimal condition.
You’ll also lead maturity reviews, ensure planning compliance, producing reports and ultimately contributing to the successful delivery of the HPC and SZC projects.
Who You Are
You have a strong background in electrical or I&C systems. You’re confident leading technical projects in a matrix organisation and skilled in impact analysis and strategic planning.
You’re a collaborative communicator, and ideally have experience in both design and commissioning. Your technical insight and proactive mindset will help drive project success.
Any French- speaking skills would be a bonus.
Applications close for this role on (Thursday 19th June), with interviews following shortly after.
