What is the opportunity?

A fantastic opportunity to join the Bank of Ireland UK (BOIUK) Risk Management Framework (RMF) Delivery Team to implement the Group's RMF across the Division as part of the wider Group RMF Implementation Programme.

You will support in the operational implementation of process informed risk management, enhancing the Bank's control environment, and remediation activities to deliver compliance to the RMF and Risk Policies.

Travel will be required as part of the role, the successful candidate can be based in Belfast, Bristol or London.

Please note this is a 12 month position.

In This Role, You Will

  • Support the UK RMF Delivery Team in the planning and implementation of the wider Group RMF programme.
  • Support the standardisation of controls and enhancements to the Bank's control environment.
  • Support in the review of BOIUK's critical processes, including process mapping, ongoing monitoring and governance.
  • Manage and track risk policy remediation activities.
  • Ensure effective governance is in place, including; creation of governance committee packs and representing the UK at governance committees, ensuring key risks, issues and dependencies in relation to successful implementation are escalated to Senior Management.
  • Support the UK RMF Delivery Lead and input into update papers and submissions for Board/Ex Co/ERC/RORC/BMC in relation to the delivery progress and implementation of the plan for BOIUK.
  • Support in tracking Programme performance and overall delivery of objectives vs plan.
  • Establish and lead ad hoc working groups/initiatives as agreed with the UK RMF Delivery Lead.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with Business and Risk stakeholders across all 3 lines of defence, ensuring timelines are managed and risks/issues are escalated.


What will make you stand out?

  • Project experience or experience working in agile delivery environments.
  • Risk Management experience.
  • Excellent facilitation skills and ability to manage stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
  • Strong report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills with excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
