This is a unique and exciting opportunity to share our journey and help us to deliver an exceptional service that creates sustainable and successful development with a wide-ranging portfolio of clients in all sectors across the UK.

What Are We Looking For.

We seek a talented individual that can deliver a high-quality service, has the ability to think outside the box, and who enjoys a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions to the various technical challenges land development can present. The individual should have experience leading projects and teams, whilst also being comfortable getting hands-on with the technical design and production of drawings and documentation.

We are looking for a candidate that has a good understanding of Civil Engineering best practice and standards, and the technical design skills to produce high quality work on a range of projects. The individual will need to use their initiative and professional judgment to support our client’s projects and goals.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

  • BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or a degree qualification in a related subject plus 6+ years relevant post graduate experience and ideally Chartered or Incorporated with a relevant professional body e.g. ICE.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead in the production of residential or general infrastructure development schemes. This should include experience in highways, drainage, levels and plot engineering. The individual should also have experience in undertaking an independent holistic lead role on major projects working in conjunction with others, including taking responsibility for managing and prioritising project workload for junior team members.
  • Ability to design using relevant best practice and guidance such as Manual for Streets, Design and Construction Guidance, CIRIA SuDS Manual, Sewerage Sector Guidance, Building Regulations, and Local Authority design standards.
  • Ability to prepare drawings and calculations for both private and adoptable arrangements. Experience obtaining ordinary watercourse consent with watercourse bodies and technical approval from key approving authorities in relation to S104 and S38 section agreements.
  • Numerate and software literate with experience of AutoCAD, 3D modelling software such as Civils3D or similar. Experience with drainage modelling software such as Causeway Flow or similar.
  • Ability to manage non-technical project aspects such as contract management including financials, programme and resourcing. Experience with client and external facing role.
  • Consultancy/private sector development background with a pragmatic approach and understanding of residential development schemes from concept to construction.
  • Effective organisational and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car.

You can expect to be part of a proactive and vibrant team that encourages individual autonomy and initiative. We feel this helps to facilitate a better work life balance that suits individual’s needs, whilst still being assured of a supportive and collaborative working environment.

You will be working on a diverse set of interesting and challenging projects; no one day will be the same! The Team itself is on a trajectory of growth and diversification, making this an incredibly exciting time to join the team.
