Job Overview
If you’re a motivated and pro-active manager looking to further your leadership and team coordination, North Bristol NHS Trust are seeking an Security & Parking Operations Coordinator.
In this role you will supervise and manage the Security & Parking Team Leaders and the wider team, facilitating the operational running of the service and promoting a pro-security culture and a safe, positive environment for all. Strong leadership and autonomous decision making will be vital in the management of both in-house members of staff and contracted service providers.
As the training lead for the team, you must be proficient in interpreting governmental and NHS policies, legislations and regulations to ensure compliance. Robust planning and organisational skills coupled with clear communication will be crucial in the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures and initiatives.
Computer literacy, data literacy and experience with report writing will be beneficial for reporting to senior managers as well as identifying risks and their possible solutions.
Experience with the recruitment of staff and the management of resources to meet demand would be advantageous.

- Ensuring that all relevant legislation is adhered to such as health and safety regulations and any industry-specific best practice guidelines.
- Ensuring that the business has the personnel and resources needed to meet demand
- Overseeing employee scheduling and assisting with human resource allocation
- Arranging employee training, both NBT Specific and Regulatory
- Improving Operational efficiency

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- To support the Department with the supervision and management of the Security & Parking Team Leaders and the wider team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update operational documentation and reports as needed.
- Support the planning and execution of operational initiatives and special projects.
- Support the Trust’s Lead Local Security Management Specialist (LSMS), within national legal frameworks for tackling violence and security management.
- Assist in managing the security risk assessment database (in conjunction with the Physical Security Coordinator) of all wards and departments ensuring all areas have appropriate risk assessments in place.
- Provide advice, guidance and instruction on security & parking management matters to all Trust employees.
- Ensure good and effective communications with internal and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities to work efficiently and avoid duplication
- Ensure investigations are undertaken into any accidents, incidents or criminal activity.
- Ensure the functionality & compliance under the Data Protection Act, GDPR and Codes of Practice for the North Bristol NHS Trust Security Systems.
- Ensure operational teams are trained and capable of using CCTV/BWV and Access Control systems.
- Provide holistic support for the Trust’s Security & Parking Department including administrative functions as required
- Carry out security & parking related audits and reviews in line with Trust Policies and procedures for the whole of the Trust.
- Provide specialist training for Trust security & parking team.
- Provide detailed reports to the HOSTP on Security & Parking.
- Help develop a clear security & parking strategy for the Trust and for stakeholders in partnership with the HOSP.
- Stay up to date with all security & parking related developments within the Industry.
