Senior Tax Manager

Core3 are delighted to partner with a leading UK-based organisation to recruit a Senior Tax Manager opportunity in Bristol. £70,000 - £90,000, plus excellent benefits and hybrid working

Why join our client?

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a high-performing and collaborative in-house tax team within a well-established, forward-thinking organisation operating across the UK. The business has ambitious growth plans, an exciting M&A pipeline, and a purpose-driven culture, making this a fantastic time to join their evolving finance function.

You'll work in a dynamic tax team that sits at the heart of the business, providing critical support across compliance, reporting, and project work-particularly in areas such as M&A, indirect tax, SAP transformation, and sustainability-linked initiatives. Based in Bristol, with flexible hybrid working (3-4 days in the office), this Senior Tax Manager role offers real influence and progression potential.

How you'll make an impact

As Senior Tax Manager, you'll report directly to the UK Director of Tax & Treasury and play a key role in shaping the tax agenda for the group. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading UK corporate tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities across multiple entities.
  • Acting as a senior advisor on complex tax matters including transfer pricing, interest deductibility, CFCs, and loss utilisation.
  • Supporting integration of recent acquisitions and major capital projects such as carbon capture and sustainability ventures.
  • Playing a critical role in indirect tax and wider business projects, including SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • Reviewing tax disclosures for statutory accounts and managing HMRC enquiries.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of tax governance and controls across the group.

This is a visible and commercially impactful position with broad exposure across UK and international tax, finance, and operations.

Why our client is excited about you

You're a technically strong and commercially minded tax professional with a proactive, collaborative approach. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are motivated by the opportunity to shape process, advise the business, and deliver real impact. You'll likely bring:

  • A CTA and/or ACA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting, ideally in both industry and/or practice.
  • Experience in indirect tax is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent project management skills and an ability to build cross-functional relationships.
  • A positive, solutions-focused mindset and a keen interest in ongoing learning and development.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return

This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad and rewarding in-house tax role where you can drive change, support strategic projects, and progress within a market-leading organisation. The benefits include:

  • £70,000 - £85,000 base salary depending on experience
  • Competitive pension and bonus
  • 3-4 days hybrid working
  • Private healthcare and life assurance
  • Excellent career development opportunities within the wider UK and Group tax structure

We invite applications from all qualified candidates who believe they meet the requirements of the role, whilst supporting and promoting equality and diversity to create an inclusive working environment for all.
