Position Overview:


Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced NEC3 Contracts Manager/Legal Advisor to join our project team on a part-time basis initall. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and extensive knowledge of NEC3 contracts. This role involves managing and advising on contractual matters to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and support the successful delivery of the project.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Contract Management: Oversee and manage NEC3 contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and risks are mitigated.


  • Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on NEC3 contracts and related matters to the project team.


  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and contractual requirements.


  • Risk Management: Identify and manage contractual risks, providing solutions to mitigate potential issues.


  • Documentation: Prepare, review, and negotiate contract documents, amendments, and variations.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and legal teams.


  • Dispute Resolution: Handle and resolve any contractual disputes that may arise during the project lifecycle.


  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on contract status and issues to the project management team.


Qualifications:




  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification in contract management or legal studies is preferred.


  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management and legal advisory roles, specifically with NEC3 contracts.

  • Skills:

  • Strong understanding of NEC3 contracts and their application in engineering projects.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
