Job Description:

Our client, a leading force in renewable energy and infrastructure, is seeking a Renewable Service Engineer in Bristol.

This role is ideal for individuals from an electrical or data/telecoms background who hold the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and 2391 Inspection & Testing qualifications.

You will be responsible for maintaining, fault finding, and optimising solar PV systems and EV charging infrastructure, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

Whether you are an experienced electrician or a telecoms engineer looking to pivot into renewables, full in house training will be provided if needed to bring you up to speed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on solar PV and EV charging systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults to keep systems running efficiently.
• Conduct electrical testing and inspections to BS 7671 (18th Edition) standards.
• Ensure all work meets the highest health & safety and compliance standards.
• Document all maintenance activity and share clear, professional reports.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and colleagues to deliver top tier service.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate (BS 7671)
• AM2 Qualification
• ECS/JIB Gold Card – Approved Electrician
• 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
• Sharp fault finding skills and a proactive approach
• Full UK driving licence

Preferred Experience:

• Solar PV systems or EV charger installs
• SCADA systems or remote monitoring
• Battery storage or energy management
