What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and deliver end-to-end electrical design for a wide range of projects
- Work in close coordination with structural, civil, and geotechnical teams
- Prepare, review, and manage complete design documentation: drawings, specs, and technical reports
- Ensure all designs meet UK regulations (including CDM, BS/EN standards)
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and development
- Attend project meetings, undertake site visits and support bid/tender processes
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid experience in electrical design for infrastructure, buildings, rail, or construction
- Strong grasp of systems such as:
- LV/HV distribution
- Lighting (internal, external, emergency)
- Power systems and load assessments
- Standby generation and UPS
- Earthing and bonding
- Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, Amtech, Hevacomp, Dialux, or similar
- Minimum of HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related field
- Working knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Ideally progressing toward IEng/CEng (IET, CIBSE) or keen to do so
