I’m working with a respected and growing construction contractor based in Bristol, who are looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their team on a permanent basis.

My client delivers a wide range of high-quality projects including office fit-outs, commercial new builds, and civil engineering schemes. The Role:

As Estimator, you’ll play a crucial part in the pre-construction process, producing accurate cost estimates and contributing to successful tender submissions. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring costings are commercially sound and aligned with the client’s expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates for various project types.

• Interpret drawings and specifications to develop accurate take-offs and pricing schedules.

• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and evaluate quotations.

• Work collaboratively with design, project, and commercial teams throughout the tender process.

• Contribute to risk assessments and value engineering initiatives.

• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction sector.

• Familiarity with office fit-outs, commercial builds, and/or civil engineering projects.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Experience with estimating software and MS Office tools.

• Good communication skills and commercial acumen.

• A relevant qualification in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field is desirable.
