Role Description
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter has arisen to join the successful Bristol branch on a hybrid basis.
You will play an active role in developing the branch account in terms of growth and profitability through negotiating and securing profitable business.
You'll participate in the Global P&C Academy accreditation, enhancing your skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Furthermore, for pricing-based roles, Allianz Insurance offers a generous study package to enable the actuarial qualification to be obtained through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Salary Information
Pay: Circa £55,000 per year.
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You
As a Senior Property & Casualty Underwriter, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a Senior Authority holder focussed on winning and retaining business of a large and complex nature
- To build and develop successful Broker relationships
- To be visible in the local market, you will thrive on face to face contact with brokers and end customers
- P rovide excellent service and develop business relationships with key clients
- To achieve agreed financial and operational performance targets
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Property and Casualty commercial underwriting experience
- The ability to build, develop and maintain positive broker relationships.
- A good team player, supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Good influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strong capability for team working.
- Studying towards or prepared to study for ACII
