DWF are currently recruiting for a Medical Negligence Claims Adjuster to join their growing team. In this role you will have responsibility for and progress a caseload of medical negligence claims to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients, ensuring high levels of service delivery, both internally and externally, whilst maintaining management information under the terms of the client service level agreement.

This role will be a remote working, with some occasional office attendance required for team meetings.

Responsibilities

  • To proactively manage and progress a caseload of medical negligence claims, predominantly in the cosmetic and surgeon sector, in line with service level agreements, best practice and internal policies and processes;
  • Follow at all times any applicable client claims reserving philosophy and claims standards, including adherence to contractual service standards;
  • To work flexibly in adjusting to changes in priority of workload;
  • Awareness of relevant medical negligence protocols and procedural requirements;
  • Achievement of individual KPI's and contribution to team performance at a high level, including financial and non-financial measures where applicable;
  • To research solutions to problems/issues on cases / projects to develop your own technical knowledge;
  • To be proactive in problem solving on cases through identifying potential issues and solutions, always adding value to the case / project;
  • Full engagement in the Firm's Performance Review cycle;

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

  • Previous Claims experience, dealing with claims from start to completion.
  • Business acumen and an understanding of the clients' needs.
  • Ability to build effective professional relationships both with external clients, including Solicitors and Brokers.
  • High level of financial and commercial awareness.

Desirable

  • 3-5 years' experience of/within the medical negligence legal fi eld/ technical skills set required to undertake

  • Excellent attention to detail to be able to carefully analyse information
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks.
