Job Specification: Stress Engineer – 12-Month Contract (Outside IR35) – Bristol

Client Overview:

A leading client of SC Engineering is seeking a skilled Stress Engineer to join their team for a 12-month contract in Bristol. This position is outside IR35, offering flexibility in working hours (with the option to condense your hours into a 4-day work week if preferred).

Role Overview:As a Stress Engineer, you will be working on-site, testing shock loads on switchboards using ANSYS.

Key Requirements:

• Security Clearance (SC): This role requires SC clearance, so candidates must be British Nationals to be eligible.
• ANSYS expertise.
• SIMCENTER experience a bonus
• Strong experience in stress analysis and testing procedures, specifically on switchboards and shock loads.
• Ability to work on-site in Bristol with the flexibility to condense hours into a 4-day work week.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in stress analysis within an engineering context.
• Strong proficiency with ANSYS or SIMCENTER
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a contract-based, high-performance environment.
• SC (Security Clearance) or eligibility to obtain clearance.
