This is a great job for someone who can work in a complex environment to resolve key issues, whilst establishing relationships with senior stakeholders across the CIO (Chief Information Officer) teams.

A bit about the job:
A great opportunity to provide 1st line Third Party risk management support, oversight and challenge across Aviva group functions. You will be part of the CIO Risk and Assurance team, responsible for managing a team focused on implementing and embedding third party risk management frameworks and processes to support the risk management of c100 Technology and Security managed Suppliers, to protect our customers and deliver our Risk Goals.
The successful applicant will:
- Lead the CIO Supplier Oversight Team, providing guidance and challenge across the Aviva group functions to ensure Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Operational Risk and Control Management (ORCM) framework compliance, whilst building the understanding of Procurement and Outsourcing risk and controls.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of risk frameworks, regulatory requirements and the importance of ongoing third-party performance and compliance monitoring.
- Lead risk and control debate (including reporting and forward view) at functional SLTs.
- Proactively identify and address risk issues, understanding causes of failure and areas of weakness.
- Use insight, data and SME opinion to effectively challenge risk assessments, control positions, issue and action remediation.
- Develop strong relationships with risk, control and issue owners to provide regular coaching on TPRM and ORCM framework best practice to ensure consistency and correct application of our business standards.
- Working with all three lines of defence to ensure effective management of issues and alignment on the strength of the control environment, including support to audit reviews in the functions.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Comprehensive knowledge of third-party and operational risk management ideally within the Financial Service industry.
- Awareness of Third-Party, IT and Security governance models, frameworks and policies e.g. COBIT, ITIL, ISO27036, ISO27001.
- Excellent stakeholder management with strong communication and relationship skills, capable of influencing and managing expectations at all organisational levels and present complex information in a straightforward and clear manner.
- Strong leadership skills, promoting a unified approach to strategy execution and team development.
- Have a proven track record in planning, attention to detail, and delivering balanced actions that consider risk, financial exposure, reputation, supplier relationships, and stakeholder needs.

- National salary: circa £75,000, London salary: circa £90,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
