Quantity Surveyor - #1723351

Our client is a leading Geotechnical engineering specialist, primarily involved in the Core Drilling, Structural Repairs and Stabilisation within the railway sector.

They have an immediate requirement for a Quantity Surveyor with experience delivering Network Rail minor works framework contracts, able to price works and with NEC 4 contract administration experience.

As the ideal candidate and key member of the team, you will be from a subcontractor background, with experience pricing and delivering various structural repair and brickwork packages on NWR assets, including bridges & structures, NWR station buildings and platforms, lineside and embankment works.

Our client is happy to consider permanent or freelance applications.

Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:

• Full NEC 4 commercial administration of contracts through to Final Accounts.
• Pricing works from First Principles.
• Reviewing progress on site in line with commercials and programme.
• Monitoring and reporting on budgets and costs against programme and producing CVR's.
• Agreeing monthly payment valuations.
• Agreeing instructions, change and processing variations.
• Take-off's and Remeasurement
• Attending client and project progress meetings.

Quantity Surveyor requirements:

• Degree or HNC/HND Quantity Surveying or construction related qualification.
• 5+ years experience working on Network Rail and Infrastructure projects, delivering minor civils and structural repair projects.
• Experience managing NEC 4 contracts essential.
• Experienced in self-delivery of projects from subcontract pricing through to final accounts.
• Well organised, diligent, self-motivated, and proactive.
• Full UK driving license.
