About The Role
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to take technical responsibility for a major £10 million+ civil engineering project in Avonmouth. In this role, you'll supervise 2–4 section engineers and drive excellence across safety, quality, design, and construction methods. Working for one of the UK's largest construction, civil engineering and infrastructure businesses this is an exciting time for someone looking to join a multi national business with opportunity for career progression.

Reporting to: Project Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and approve method statements and risk assessments, ensuring safety for the public and workforce.
- Manage quality control, inspections, and testing in line with contract requirements.
- Lead dimensional control, ensuring accuracy in construction.
- Oversee the design process, manage external design teams, and approve drawings.
- Coordinate temporary works and act as Temporary Works Coordinator/Inspector.
- Continuously improve construction methods, software, and safety practices.
- Record and manage client changes and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Provide technical support, mentoring, and leadership to engineering teams.
- Proven experience in civil engineering design and site management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in managing construction methods, quality systems, and temporary works.
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in engineering practices.
