Job Description



The Job Mission

This role supports the development and delivery of the Periodic Testing Programme at Hinkley Point C.

You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary pre-operations team.

You’ll help translate technical documentation into operational strategies.


Your responsibilities include:



  • Analyse technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, and test instructions.

  • Assist in the creation of Periodic Testing Operational Instructions (PTOIs).

  • Support planning and scheduling activities for testing programmes.

  • Liaise with HPC departments, EDF stakeholders, and international partners.

  • Assist in developing surveillance programme strategy and requirements.

  • Help define and document operational processes and procedures.

  • Ensure delivery aligns with industry operating experience and best practice.

  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance across documentation.




Qualifications



Essential Skills and Qualifications



  • HNC/HND in an engineering discipline (or higher).

  • Experience with mechanical, electrical or I&C plant systems.

  • Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings.

  • Strong written skills for document and procedure creation.

  • Capable of planning and executing technical work scopes.

  • Experience working in a project or commissioning environment.

  • Able to collaborate across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

  • Proven ability to follow and develop operational procedures.


Desired Skills



  • Degree in Engineering or related technical field.

  • Prior exposure to nuclear or highly regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with surveillance or periodic testing programmes.

  • Understanding of asset management or work management systems.

  • Experience working with international engineering suppliers.
