We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our Operations Team within our wider People & Culture Team. This role can be based from either our Bristol or Cheltenham office with hybrid working between home and the office.

The People & Culture team provide a full HR service, encompassing People Development, Talent Acquisition, Reward, Employee Relations and HR Operations. The HR team works closely with the firm and supporting committees to help drive the business forward with added value activity. The People & Culture Operations team provides centralised services in conjunction with the HR hubs and plays a vital role in ensuring accurate employee data and the delivery of high quality HR lifecycle processes in a timely manner.

The successful applicant will be expected to undertake a variety of administrative duties both independently and as part of a team, and will work with a wide range of HR professionals to provide generalist and HR support to the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a budding HR professional in the early stage of their career to become an integral part of a team that is developing it’s best practices and re-defining the Operation function.

A snapshot of your day:

  • Pre-employment administration and compliance including Right to Work Checks, Occupational Health screenings and DBS checks
  • Maintaining and updating electronic personnel files ensuring new starter documents and the HR database contain accurate employment data
  • General HR administration such as probation checks; providing references on behalf of current employees for tenancy/mortgage applications; preparing letters, contracts and changes of employment for all staff correspondence including promotions; pulling system reports; redacting personal information; booking meeting rooms; filing; communicating on benefit and pension updates and calculations etc
  • Responding to business queries in a timely fashion
  • Support the HR Assistants and the wider People & Culture team with HR activities and projects, and supporting the Talent Acquisition team with providing a positive candidate onboarding journey

We would love to hear from if you have:

  • Previous administration experience and/or a qualification in business, human resources or similar
  • Proven experience in data accuracy with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in data management and reporting is advantageous
  • An ability to follow control parameters and curiously seek out information
  • Experience in generating letters or contract is beneficial
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel
  • Experience coordinating and updating a HR system and document record management system is beneficial
  • An understanding of discreet professionalism
  • Excellent organisational skills, and ability to work well with colleagues at all levels
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) or 1 - 2 years experience working within an HR Team or administration function is advantageous
  • Professional services experience is beneficial (not essential)
