The work we do is determined and prioritised by the council’s senior management team and extends across the whole organisation, providing a challenging, varied and rewarding range of opportunities.

We are an established and experienced team of Portfolio Management and programme and project delivery professionals.

Our project delivery team consists of Programme Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Project Support Officers.

This PROJECT MANAGER role works as part of the CHANGE & TRANSFORMATION PORTFOLIO.

People working in this role lead teams in delivery of the council’s most high-profile, complex and risky programmes and projects.

To be successful in this role candidates will be able to translate managers' ideas in to well planned and controlled projects; provide leadership to dispersed teams working across a broad range of specialisms; and balance the governance requirements of the organisation with the need to deliver at pace.

This is a dynamic role, in a fast-paced delivery environment you will have the opportunity to contribute and make a tangible difference through supporting and enabling the organisation to deliver real and impactful outcomes.

The role is currently hybrid with flexibility to work regularly from home, however candidates should note that their contractual place of work will be City Hall in Bristol and they might be expected to attend this location in-person for up to five working days each week depending on the demands of the service we provide.
