Job Title: Systems Engineer - (Process & Governance)
Client: BAE Systems
Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Hybrid, 3–4 days onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Hourly Rate: £56.44 UMBRELLA (Inside IR35)
Hours: 37 per week
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage cross-functional teams delivering engineering governance and assurance
Maintain and improve operational frameworks, codes of practice, and audit schedules
Ensure compliance with internal and external engineering and quality standards
Support inspections, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Promote process standardisation, cultural change, and risk-based governance

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience managing engineering & quality governance in complex environments
Strong stakeholder leadership and communication across disciplines
Understanding of LCM, ISO 9001/45001, IEC 61508, and Defence Standards
Experienced with SharePoint, Teamcenter, Jira, and RCA techniques
Analytical mindset with process improvement focus
