Training Course

Painter and Decorator (Level 2)


Hours

Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. 39 hours per week.


Start date: Tuesday, 26 August


Duration

2 Years


Work

As an apprentice, you will work at a company, gaining hands-on experience, developing new skills, and working alongside experienced staff.


What You Will Do

What’s the apprenticeship all about?


At Ian Williams, you’ll gain practical experience and learn on the job! You will combine college studies with practical training to master your chosen trade. Supported by our experienced tradespeople and your mentor, you’ll put your new skills into practice.


Typical tasks include:



  • Mastering paint application techniques (rolling, cutting in, brush skills)

  • Applying gloss work (doors, window frames, skirtings)

  • External work (railings, sheds, fences, walls)

  • Working in various environments, indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions

Training

The apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or training organization. At least 20% of your working hours will be dedicated to training or studying.
