Senior Transport Planner

Location: Bristol

Salary: £30,000 to £55,000 DOE + Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time | Office-based with Hybrid Flexibility

A respected and fast-growing independent consultancy (confidential client) is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join their dynamic team in Bristol. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to make a real impact across a variety of projects including strategic masterplans, transport assessments, and mobility strategies throughout the South West.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and author Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals and related technical reports

• Conduct junction modelling, swept path analysis and initial design using CAD tools

• Engage with stakeholders, clients and planning authorities

• Represent the company in public consultations and planning meetings

• Collaborate across project teams to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Transport Planning, preferably in a consultancy setting

• Proficient in TRICS, TemPro, Arcady and Picady; familiarity with LinSig or GIS is advantageous

• Ability to manage small-scale projects independently

• Holds a degree in Transport, Engineering, Geography, Planning or a related field

• Strong communication and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

• Self-motivated, adaptable and passionate about sustainable transport planning
