Abbot's Shoes is a leading online retailer specialising in pre-owned formal footwear. We buy, sell and consign pre-owned classic shoes made by the world's best shoemakers. We are passionate about sustainability and refurbish all the footwear we sell on our website in our workshop in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. The Role: We are seeking a responsible, well-organised, and self-motivated E-commerce Assistant to join our team. The Assistant will support the online growth of Abbot's by performing a range of operational, administrative and customer service tasks. Responsibilities: 1. Working with Shopify on a daily basis 2. Product processing and listing 3. Fulfillment of orders and returns processing 4. Product photography (no experience necessary, full training provided) 5. Leather shoe restoration (no experience necessary, full training provided) 6. Ad-hoc e-commerce and administrative tasks Experience: 1. Experience with Shopify preferred but not required. 2. Excellent computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred but not required. 3. Experience in another ecommerce role preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will: 1. Demonstrate a keen willingness to learn and be able to take on a variety of tasks. 2. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. 3. Excellent attention to detail and hand eye coordination (repair work). 4. Proficient in time management and strong organisational skills. 5. Have a desire to develop a knowledge of the company and our products. 6. Have an interest in clothing, shoes or craftsmanship. What is in it for you 1. Salary £24,000 2. Flexi Time - Monday to Friday (8 hour days with a 1 hour lunch break. Start between 8:30 -10:00am / Finish between 4:30 - 6:00pm) 3. 20 days holiday + UK bank holidays + Christmas to New Year break 4. Pension Scheme 5.
