Overview:
This role in the Talent and Performance Development Centre of Excellence (T&PD CoE) is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, experienced Senior Manager with strong background in leadership and/or talent development to deliver the refreshed FY26 Journey to Partner (JtP) talent development programme, ensuring it delivers the Partner promotions vision, strategy, outcomes, and success measures.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Programme Management: Lead the operational management of the programme to ensure the integrated plan successfully delivers the refreshed Journey to Partner talent development programme for FY26. Identify and mitigate delivery risks and lead the resolution of issues/blockers. Manage dependencies with other projects/programmes actively.
    Conduct mid-project reviews after each key milestone, ensuring feedback, continuous improvement, and necessary updates are implemented to transition the project into BAU.


  • Stakeholder Management: Manage a broad range of executive and senior stakeholders; confidence and experience in this area is essential. Partner with the Project Managers and Programme Leads for UK and CH to ensure key stakeholders across the merged firm are kept up to date throughout project delivery.


  • Communication: Maintain effective communication within the JtP working group and with stakeholders. Ensure timely and planned stakeholder engagement. Keep Programme Lead, Sponsors, and stakeholders regularly updated through refined reporting.
    Work closely with Partnership Office and T&PD to ensure best use of all comms channels, ensuring candidates, sponsors, and stakeholders have the information they need in a way that is engaging and easy-to-understand.


  • Budget Management: Robust management of programme costs and forecasts including tracking the spend to meet approved investment ask.


  • Project Transition: Oversee conversion of JtP transition year project to BAU to distil good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged and applied.


Experience Required:

  • Designing and delivering talent development programmes, connecting talent and leadership development outcomes.

  • Managing senior stakeholders' input and expectations.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix management structure, with the ability to influence and direct teams who do not report directly into this role.

  • Track record of successfully managing large-scale projects or programmes of activity to time and budget, preferably in a professional services environment.

  • Ability to operate strategically and have a willingness and demonstrated ability to roll your sleeves up, use your initiative and create forward momentum, bringing others with you.

  • Highly organised and self-reliant with the ability to prioritise activities, balancing strategic, operational, tactical, and commercial needs.

  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere. Will have broad experience working flexibly, and at pace, within a challenging environment.

  • Strong and demonstrated ability to quickly develop rapport and build strong and lasting relationships throughout the team, across grades in KPMG and with external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative to develop solutions and able to work in ambiguous situations.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent active listening skills.
