We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Community Manager to foster a vibrant and engaging environment within our multi-tenanted commercial building. The Community Manager will be responsible for building strong relationships with tenants, coordinating events and activities, and ensuring the overall satisfaction and well-being of the community. The role will also involve front of house responsibilities, managing contractor relationships, responding to facilities-related requests, and supporting health and safety compliance across the site. This role is Maternity Cover, covering full time for 10 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
  • Managing the front desk affectively organising deliveries & visitors via our tenant platform
  • Develop and implement initiatives to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive community within the building. Organise events, workshops, and other activities to facilitate connections among tenants – we love to work with the onsite café and local Bristol businesses.
  • Regularly communicate with tenants to share important updates, upcoming events, and relevant information, utilising our tenant platform, social media, and online tools.
  • Oversee the management of common areas, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Manage site Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and coordinate external contractors for services such as window cleaning, landscaping, and other facilities management needs.
  • Liaise with contractors and the Facilities Assistant to ensure timely resolution of maintenance, security, and operational issues.
  • Respond to tenant facilities requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring high levels of service and follow-through.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety systems and regulations, including risk assessments, contractor permits to work, and incident reporting.
  • Implement strategies to enhance tenant engagement and satisfaction, including regular communication and feedback with clients.
  • Promote sustainable practices within the building.
  • Monitor and manage social media channels and online platforms to enhance community engagement and communication.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in community management, customer service, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of contractor management and familiarity with health and safety systems and compliance.
  • Experience in managing tenant facilities requests and coordinating responsive solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve issues.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
  • Flexible schedule, with the ability to work occasional evenings for events.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive community environment.
