Salary: £89 per day (based on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Assistants for our diverse and expanding school spread across three beautiful campuses in North Bristol (BS11). As a specialist school for children with severe learning difficulties and Autism, we are committed to providing each student with a tailored education that promotes independence, curiosity and self-advocacy

We cater to students from reception through to post-16, offering a wide range of opportunities for learning and personal growth. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to students with severe learning difficulties and Autism, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their personal best
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes independence
* Adapt learning strategies to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring they are supported both academically and emotionally
* Assist students in developing life skills, social connections and resilience through structured support and encouragement
* Manage challenging behaviours in a calm and positive manner, ensuring a nurturing environment where students feel safe and supported
* Contribute to personalised education plans, sharing insights to help shape each student’s learning journey
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with Autism and severe learning difficulties, is desirable
* A caring, patient, and adaptable attitude, with a genuine passion for helping students thrive
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and the wider community
* Ability to manage and respond to challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive manner
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills
