Retrofit Consultant – Home-Based
Example Recruitment Group is proud to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of energy efficiency and sustainable housing. We are currently seeking an experienced Retrofit Consultant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis, with the flexibility to be home-based and travel regularly throughout Bristol the surrounding areas, and nationwide as required.

The Role
As Retrofit Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of domestic retrofit projects across the UK. Acting as a Retrofit Coordinator under PAS2035, you will manage assessments, oversee compliance, and provide trusted advisory services to clients in the public and social housing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients in developing tailored retrofit strategies aligned with their sustainability goals
- Coordinate and oversee the work of Retrofit Assessors across multiple regions
- Guide projects from initial assessment through to final evaluation, ensuring quality and compliance
- Offer funding advice and technical guidance to clients
- Represent the organisation at meetings, workshops, and industry events
- Maintain quality systems and ensure robust reporting processes
- Schedule and manage site visits effectively to optimise nationwide travel
- Act as a key contact and source of expertise in building physics, heating, and ventilation systems
Candidate Profile
- Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management (required)
- Accreditation as a Retrofit Coordinator
- Strong understanding of PAS2035 and domestic retrofit best practices
- Experience in construction project management or M&E coordination
- Knowledge of building energy modelling tools such as SAP or PHPP
- DEA or Retrofit Assessor qualification (desirable)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and self-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
