Job Title: Systems Integration and Proving Engineer – Strike Weapons Location: Bristol (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE + Benefits Are you an experienced Systems Engineer with a passion for proving, trials and validation? Do you enjoy working across cutting-edge test environments, from virtualised software platforms to full system firing trials? A leading defence company is seeking a Systems Integration and Proving Engineer to join a high-impact team in the development, integration, and qualification of next-generation strike weapon systems. You’ll be working across the full proving lifecycle, helping to deliver safe, effective, and robust systems that meet stringent defence requirements. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Planning, executing, and analysing system trials to demonstrate platform integration and weapon system performance.
- Carrying out in-depth behaviour analysis across complex internal and external system interfaces.
- Delivering trials in multiple environments:
- Software virtualised platforms
- Lab-based functional integration rigs
- Platform-level acceptance testing
- Live system integration and firing trials
- Conducting and supporting fault investigation and root cause analysis.
- Ensuring safe and reliable test execution through robust risk management and asset control.
- Systems Integration & Validation
- Systems Qualification and Acceptance
- Test & Evaluation (T&E) in hardware-software systems
- Software test environments and network integration
- Automated verification techniques and data analysis
- Experience using IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management tools
- Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools
- Scripting or software tooling experience for system analysis or automation
- Bonus up to £2,500 based on company performance
