Salary: £89- £98 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Bristol, supporting with their recruitment for a SEMH Learning Support Assistant / LSA. Based across two campuses, the school caters to children from KS2 – KS4. This nurturing, restorative school aims to create aspiring, confident, independent and resilient life-long learners. 



The school is seeking a proactive team player to take on this short-term role, although there is potential for this to become a short-term placement for the right SEMH Learning Support Assistant / LSA. The successful Learning Support Assistant / LSA will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school



The position will involve working with students between Key Stage 2 – Key Stage 4 years with diagnosis of SEMH / Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary



The successful SEMH Learning Support Assistant / LSA will have:



· Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities



· Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours



· Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent



· Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
