WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR



Position Purpose


Reporting to the MD’s AB-UK, with subject specific (functional) support from ARTEC GmbH, KNDS, RBSL and supportability leads from their UK entities, the incumbent will be responsible for AB-UK’s Land Integrated Operating Service (LIOS) proposal development, supporting the commercial proposal and liaising with wider industry in developing innovative support options for LIOS. This is a key role for business growth in the UK and to support exports service support delivery. Critical to the role will be developing relationships with the UK customer LIOS team.


Position Responsibilities


Participation, and in some cases leading, in the pre-negotiation discussions, presentations and workshops relating to LIOS with the MoD customer community and wider industry.



  • Development of AB-UK’s LIOS strategy and proposal.

  • Liaison with parent company UK subsidiary businesses and wider industry to apportion workshares and derive best value to the business and customer in the proposal

  • Provide oversight of the delivery of LIOS within the optics of continuous earned value management, innovation and delivery improvement

  • Advising the MD’s AB-UK on matters arising through the process of bid, proposal and delivery in a timely manner and offering solutions to these issues.

  • Being aware of export control policies and procedures in relation to data and IP that might be licensed from the parent companies to delivery LIOS, maintain accurate records for compliance and auditing purposes.

  • Supporting Business Development opportunity analysis and sales forecasting for support services across the parent company group.

  • Staying aware of customer needs and industry best practice in the field of defence sustainment services

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE



  • 10 years + delivery experience in Defence related support – essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering – essential

  • Excellent working knowledge of Military Vehicles, Services and related products – essential

  • Commercial service delivery experience – desirable

  • Security cleared or the ability to attain a UK security clearance up to SC level – Mandatory

  • Knowledge and understanding of Export Controls – desirable
