The Client
Our client are a leading hire company providing full UK coverage for industrial equipment.
With plans to expand the business further this has presented an exciting opportunity for an experienced Branch Manager to join the team in Bristol.
The role of Branch Manager:
- To be a custodian of the brand, effectively meet our clients customers' needs and build a growing, profitable, sustainable branch.
- To inspire and embed a high performance team culture throughout the branch, promoting accountability and responsibility, building an autonomous team where only the best is acceptable.
- Leading the team with both your behaviours and the preparation, delivery and management of strategic plans focused on customer service excellence, sales performance, proactive sales activity and stock management.
- Engaging with a 'hands on' customer approach both 'in the field' and showroom. Developing customer relationships, new business development and stock control management.
- Understand the commercial and financial impacts of your strategic plan delivery through management of P&L and cost budgets.
Main Tasks of the Branch Manager
- Ensure your commercial and financial targets are met through effective cost control and managing the teams commercial activities and their impact on the branch's operating result
- Develop the knowledge & skills for you and your team to become the product specialist, able to articulate total cost of ownership solutions through best in class guidance to customers
- Engage with customers in order to fully understand their needs and provide the appropriate help and support to ensure the correct solution is sold undertaking site surveys, machine demonstrations, machine training, building and presenting proposals
- To be aware of, build and develop networks and relationships with local customers in conjunction with Target Market Managers and sales people within the Company
- Develop sales through active and passive sales and marketing plans, utilising the support of other departments within the business
- Communicate effectively to the team daily, weekly and monthly targets, clearly identifying what this means in terms of sales, profitability, costs, staffing levels etc.
- Overseeing the consistency of logging service requests under warranty and fixed cost repairs via CRM software
Your qualifications, experience and characteristics are
- Full UK driving licence holder
- Able to work flexible hours and occasional weekends
- Minimum of A Level qualifications
- Good understanding of the sales process, People management methodologies, Budget setting and Strategic planning
- Face to face selling and application of the sales process.
- Retail / B2B supervisory experience and able to demonstrate key achievements within a similar role.
- Demonstrable a history of achieving targets
- Demonstrate how strategy has been set and plans to achieve have been applied and evaluated
- Experience of leading and developing a team
