Trainee Fire Door Surveyor - #1676763

Location: Bristol / Bath (Travel within 2 hours + occasional overnight stays)

A fantastic opportunity at NEO Property Solutions to join our growing Surveying team. You will travel across the UK to survey sites and report back for our team of joiners and fire stoppers to complete installations.

This role is ideal for someone with a Building Services degree seeking their first industry role, or an experienced Fire Stopper / Joiner looking to move away from manual work.

The role requires excellent customer service, good administration skills, and a keen eye for detail.

As a Fire Door Surveyor, you will visit various building types, including student accommodation, housing associations, care homes, public buildings, schools, supermarkets, and universities to perform fire door condition surveys.

For occupied housing blocks, this includes flat entrance doors, where you will follow access protocols and customer care procedures when liaising with residents.

Your surveys will be recorded using the 'Bolster' software via a smartphone app. You will locate doors on floor plans, tag them, and assess their condition against prompts and approved repair techniques. Each survey takes about 10 minutes and involves measurements and photographic records.

You will often work independently, maintaining regular contact with your line manager and planning team to record outputs, validate results, and finalize reports for clients.

The role suits motivated team players with good organizational skills, familiar with survey work, and able to use initiative to meet targets.

• Full UK driving license


• IT literacy (tablet / mobile devices + Microsoft Office)
