Site Engineer - #1676294

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major construction project based in Bristol. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity to work on a large-scale development featuring both RC Frame and Steel Frame elements, alongside significant groundworks packages.

The Role:As a Setting Out Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of setting out on site, ensuring work is carried out accurately to project specifications and in line with quality standards. You’ll work closely with the site management team and subcontractors, supporting key construction activities across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for RC Frame, Steel Frame, and Groundworks

• Preparing and maintaining accurate records, site diaries, and as-built surveys

• Ensuring works are set out to line and level with the required accuracy

• Providing technical support and guidance to subcontractors

• Collaborating with site and project management teams to maintain programme deadlines

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar Setting Out Engineer role

• Experience working on RC Frame, Steel Frame, and Groundworks projects

• Current, valid CSCS card

• Proficient with GPS and robotic total stations

• Ability to produce as-built surveys and maintain accurate site records

• Ideally, own setting out kit, GPS, laptop, and software

• Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements
