Electrical Test Engineer – Permanent Role – £21.50/hr – Newcastle

Pay Rate: £21.50 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview:

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and fault-finding on electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. You'll be working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain high-quality outputs and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional and safety testing on electrical equipment and assemblies


• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults using schematics and test equipment


• Ensure all testing complies with relevant standards and company procedures


• Complete and maintain accurate test records and documentation


• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the testing and production areas

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in electrical testing within a manufacturing or industrial environment


• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills


• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics


• A relevant electrical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)


• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
