ORION ENGINEERING SERVICES LIMITED
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst for a period of c 9 months to come in and gather requirements for the key scopes and then evaluate suitable solutions available in the marketplace. Based in Aberdeen - presence in the office is required. PAYE contract role.
Candidates must have previous experience in Data Analysis and Reporting in an Oil & Gas Operator business and ideally with exposure to work in Environmental /Risk areas.
You will be able to drive delivery of the required scopes, so that they can make tangible progress.
Candidates should have experience of similar projects and dealing with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Barrier Management / Cumulative Risk (replacement for Clarity)
- Flare & Vent consent tracking - Wider review of Environmental reporting (investigate EmissionsAI)
REQUIRED
Extensive experience in a similar business systems role
Previous demonstrable experience of performing a similar applications/business
analyst role working with one or more business critical/enterprise systems
• Demonstrable experience in IS – preferably within the oil and gas industry
• Excellent business and technical analysis skills
• Project Management certification or equivalent demonstrable work experience A methodical and structured approach to problem solving, selecting and
effectively utilising appropriate methods, procedures, tools, equipment and
standards, to meet all targets set
• Ability to identify gaps in the available information required to understand a
problem or situation, and devise a means of remedying such gaps
• Capable of working across organisational boundaries and with multiple cultures
– team player
• Proactive, adaptable, taking action and anticipating opportunities
• Maintains knowledge of relevant current and emerging technologies through
literature, conferences / seminars, and professional networking with other
leading practitioners and professional bodies
Technical Competencies:
• Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills
• Business Intelligence skills are desirable
• SQL query/reporting skills are desirable
• Understanding of database structures and technologies is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical users
