Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and self-sufficient Quantity Surveyor to support a specialist project involving the full fit-out of a newly developed secure facility. This is a key role requiring a commercially astute professional with deep knowledge of NEC4 contract delivery and proven experience working within highly regulated environments.
This is a part-time, fixed-term engagement (two days per week) and offers a balance of remote and on-site working.

Security & Clearance Requirements
- Applicants must be UK nationals due to the sensitive nature of the work.
- Existing BPSS or SC clearance is required. Willingness to undergo DV clearance is essential.
- The role primarily involves working with documentation classified as Official/Official Sensitive.
- Demonstrable experience in a standalone Quantity Surveyor role, able to operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong background in secure construction environments, such as aerospace, defence, scientific laboratories, R&D or engineering facilities. Experience with complex service and equipment installation is highly desirable.
- In-depth working knowledge of NEC4 contract options A and E.
- Proven experience preparing and managing compensation events and claims.
- Skilled in using CEMAR and associated construction and financial tools.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
