Sub Agent - Tier 1 Contractor - Major Civils Framework - Southwest England & South Wales
Role overview:
My client is a Tier 1 Construction and Civil Engineering Company
They have been chosen as the sole provider of Lot 3 - Western Geotechnical Off-Track and Drainage - as part of Network Rail Wales and Western region's £2bn programme of works
The Lot stretches from London Paddington to Penzance and involves the ongoing maintenance & renewals programme of civil engineering assets such as embankments, cuttings, scour protection, and earthworks drainage.
They are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis, a Sub Agent to add to their existing team on the framework
The successful candidate will have experience of delivering civil engineering projects and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects
Sub Agent duties include assisting the Site Agent with the successful and timely delivery of the projects:
Advising the engineering team with solutions to technical challenges
Assist in production and integration of 3-week programmes
Manage designs from the inhouse and external designers
Support the project team with construction methodology and sequencing
Collaborate with the project team on resource, plant and material requirements
Training and mentoring the junior members of the engineering team
Demonstrate value engineering throughout the construction process
Managing RFI's and Technical Queries
Person Specification
Previous experience as a Section Engineer or Sub Agent delivering major infrastructure projects
Formal qualification in a civil engineering or construction related subject
