As a System Engineer, you'll have a role that's truly out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for you supporting them delivering key engineering services to the MoD and Partners Across Government for various communications, Signals Intelligence, Situation Awareness and projects in CEMA Maritime.

Day to day, you'll support Mission Systems in delivering the next generation of Beyond Line of Sight Radio Frequency Communications solutions for a variety of national and international customers

This is a permanent role and can be b delivered from various locations including Plymouth and Bristol (flexible working arrangement also available).

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading and managing design solutions, maturing system architecture, product design and producing contract engineering deliverables
• Owning and directing interfaces and trade-offs between systems, sub systems and functions
• Leading the technical solutions in response to customer requirements, from concepts through to in-life support
• Developing, building, testing and trialling solutions
• Creating high quality design documentation

You will have:

• Engineering expertise across the engineering lifecycle V-Model from initial concepts, requirements, design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, maintenance and supportability
• You will demonstrate System concepts and lifecycle selection, System capability issues, Enterprise and technology environment, Architectural design, Concept generation and Functional analysis.
• The ability and drive to think with a systems perspective as defined by INCOSE.
• Ability to create and manage interfaces, specifications and certificates, producing boundary views and identifying ownership across the System of Interest (SoI), Wider Systems of Interest (WSoI) and its environment.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering however, we value difference and don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.
